Zusammenfassung

Hinter dem Begriff des Sozialkapitals steht eine relativ einfache Grundüberlegung, die davon ausgeht, dass Investitionen in soziale Beziehungen einen Nutzen erwarten lassen. Diese recht allgemeine Definition ist das Ergebnis der unterschiedlichen Überlegungen bzw. Konzepte der Wissenschaftler, die zu der Diskussion beigetragen haben (Bourdieu 1982, 1983, 1992; Burt 1992; Coleman 1988, 1990; Erickson 1995, 1996; Flap 1991, 2001; Lin 1982, 1999; Portes 1998; Putnam 1993, 1995).
