Zusammenfassung

Das Internet hat in den letzten beiden Jahrzehnten zweifelsohne die psychologische Forschung und die Art und Weise, wie Forschungsvorhaben geplant und durchgeführt werden, einschneidend geprägt. Prinzipiell ist die Nutzung des Internets in allen Stadien des Forschungsprozesses möglich (Lee, Fielding & Blank 2008): Von der Literaturrecherche über wissenschaftliche Suchmaschinen und Online-Datenbanken, die zeit- und grenzüberschreitende Kollaboration internationaler Forschungsgruppen per E-Mail oder Video-Konferenzsystemen, die Durchführung des eigentlichen Forschungsvorhabens über das Internet bis hin zur Verschriftlichung der Resultate mittels Online-Textverarbeitungsprogrammen, an denen verschiedene Personen zeitgleich zusammenarbeiten und der Online-Veröffentlichung von Texten und anderen Datensorten u.v.m.
