Angesichts der Herausforderungen die sich in und aus der „Wissensgesellschaft“ für soziale Systeme auf allen Ebenen ergeben bzw. des vielfach ausgeblendeten oder zumindest unterbewerteten Bedingungszusammenhangs zwischen der affektiven, „Gefühl-vollen“ und der „Sinn-haften“ Kommunikationsdimension in sozialen Zusammenhängen einerseits, sowie unter Berücksichtigung der beschriebenen Eigenschaften von Sozialsystemen auf der Ebene von „Gruppe“ andererseits, wird nun deutlich nachvollziehbar, weshalb „Communities (of Practice)“ in vielen Fällen als vielversprechende, junge Alternativen für den Umgang mit „Wissen“ — insbesondere in der sie umgebenden modernen Lebenswelt — gehandelt werden.
