Abstract

In this chapter we do not intend to examine in depth recent reforms that have affected territorial and urban government in France – an issue tackled in more detail in the chapter authored by Thoenig in this volume, as well as in synthetic analyses (Hoffmann-Martinot 2000; 2003).
