Dieses Kapitel führt einige der Widersprüche und Dilemmata aus, die mit den aktuellen schwedischen Bemühungen um Gender Equality - gemeinsame elterliche Sorge und „neue Väter“ - sowie Initiativen zur Förderung des Kindeswohls verknüpft sind.29 In Schweden werden bei familienrechtlichen Verfahren zur Regelung des Sorge- und Umgangsrechts sowie des Aufenthalts die Untersuchungen, auf deren Grundlage das Gericht seine Entscheidung trifft, von einer speziellen Gruppe Sozialarbeiter/innen - sog. family law secretaries30 - durchgeführt. Darüber hinaus führen sie Kooperationsgespräche im Sinne von Mediation mit getrennt lebenden Eltern, die Konflikte beilegen wollen, die ihre Kinder betreffen. Die Arbeit dieser professionellen Helfer/innen ist für die Sicherheit und das Wohlergehen von Kindern nach Trennung bzw. Scheidung, wenn der Vater gegenüber der Mutter und/oder dem Kind gewalttätig war, von höchster Bedeutung. Im Folgenden wird die Arbeit der Familienrechtshelfer/innen in Fällen häusliche Gewalt des Vaters gegen die Mutter analysiert: Wie nehmen sie die Lage und Bedürfnisse von Kindern gewalttätiger Väter wahr? Das Ziel ist, die Position von Kindern, die von häuslicher Gewalt betroffen sind, in Sorgerechts-, Aufenthalts- und Umgangsrechtsverfahren vor Gericht zu beleuchten.
