Wenn es um die Veränderung von Männlichkeit ging, hat man sich in letzter Zeit vor allem mit berufstätigen Männern aus der Mittelschicht beschäftigt. Dabei ging man in der Regel davon aus, dass Männer aus der Arbeiterklasse diesbezüglich konservativ, wenn nicht reaktionär seien.
