Zusammenfassung
In der Soziologie waren wirtschaftliches Handeln ebenso wie Wirtschaftsinstitutionen und -strukturen über lange Zeit kein Thema. Eine Wirtschaftssoziologie war kaum oder doch nur schemenhaft zu erkennen und führte trotz einiger wichtiger Einzelarbeiten ein Schattendasein. Und das, obwohl die Begründer der modernen Soziologie Emile Durkheim und Max Weber das Verhältnis von Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft von Anfang an thematisiert und problematisiert haben.
