Zusammenfassung

In the last two decades, Islam in European Union countries has transformed from an issue of minor academic interest into one of the fastest growing research topics. The main reason for this is the need felt by both local and national governments to find ways to accommodate millions of Muslim origin populations in the European public space. The integration of Muslim origin individuals and communities into European societies has become a highly politicized research theme.
