Zusammenfassung

Der Begriff „Europa-Studien“ bezeichnet Vorgänge von Forschung und Lehre im Hinblick auf den geographisch eingegrenzten Gegenstand „Europa“. Mit einem analogen Fokus existieren etwa Afrika- oder Lateinamerikastudien. Verwendet wird der Begriff der „Europa-Studien“ indes meistens dann, wenn es um Prozesse der europäischen Integration in politischer, rechtlicher und wirtschaftlicher Hinsicht geht.
