Zusammenfassung
Im Jahre 2011 wurde in vielen Veranstaltungen des „GastarbeiterInnen“-Anwerbeabkommens zwischen Deutschland und der Türkei gedacht, welches fünfzig Jahre zuvor, im Jahre 1961, unterzeichnet worden war. Damals waren die vertragsschließenden Parteien, die Regierungen der beiden Länder, und sicherlich auch sehr viele potenzielle türkische ArbeitsmigrantInnen sowie die mit der Umsetzung des Programmes befassten Behörden und Organisationen davon ausgegangen,dass der Arbeitsaufenthalt für die einzelnen Migrierenden jeweils auf zwei bis drei Jahre begrenzt sein würde.
