Aus der Perspektive primitiver Gesellschaften in Südamerika den Staat betrachtend, kam der französische Anthropologe Pierre Clastres zu dem Schluss, dass der Staat an sich ethnozidär sei: „Jede staatliche Organisation ist ethnozidär, der Ethnozid ist die normale Daseinsweise des Staates.
