Kuhns Hauptwerk The Structure of Scientific Revolutions (SSR) aus dem Jahr 1962 zählt zu den meistzitierten wissenschaftlichen Büchern der Ge-genwart (Google Scholar zählt im Ja-nuar 2012 über 53.000 Zitationen der englischen Ausgabe) und führte zu einer Umorientierung der theoretischen Wissenschaftsphilosophie.
