Wenn sie nach der Promotion in die wissenschaftliche Unabhängigkeit entlassen werden, entscheiden Wissenschaftler meist selbst, was sie herausfinden wollen und wie sie dabei vorgehen. Kaum jemand in ihrer Organisation weiß genug, um ihnen das vorschreiben zu können.
