Zusammenfassung

Seit einigen Jahren wird in Deutschland eine Debatte über die Einkommenssituation von Rentnerinnen und Rentnern geführt, bei der weniger die aktuelle Situation, sondern vielmehr ein für die Zukunft erwarteter Anstieg von Altersarmut im Mittelpunkt steht.

Ich danke den Mitarbeitern der Abteilung Ungleichheit und soziale Integration am Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin, insbesondere Jan Paul Heisig und Ulrich Kohler, für zahlreiche hilfreiche Kommentare zu einer früheren Version des Artikels.
