Zusammenfassung
Neue Ethologie und neue Tiertheorie unterziehen die Anthropologische Differenz, den Anthropozentrismus und dem Anthropomorphismus einer kritischen Revision. Für die Cultural Animal Studies folgt aus der Kritik eine dreifache Aufforderung: Es gilt, die Voraussetzung einer Anthropologischen Differenz zu hinterfragen, aber zugleich den Plural von Speziesdifferenzen in Rechnung zu stellen; es gilt, die Ideologie eines ontologischen Anthropozentrismus anzufechten, aber zugleich einen epistemologischen Anthropozentrismus in Rechnung zu stellen; und es gilt, einen naiven Anthropomorphismus zu vermeiden, aber zugleich einen reflektierten Anthropomorphismus nutzbar zu machen.
