Zusammenfassung
Das Rollengedicht Knecht Ruprecht (LL 1, 76 f.), das wohl bekannteste Gedicht Storms (das häufig gar nicht mehr mit diesem Autor verbunden, sondern als ›Volksgut‹ behandelt wird), entstand vermutlich Ende 1862, während Storms Zeit als Kreisrichter in Heiligenstadt, als Teil eines Weihnachtsspiels, das er für seine Kinder verfasst, jedoch in seiner Gesamtheit nicht veröffentlicht hat (Handschrift, SHLB Kiel).
