Kellers Jugenddramen wurden in Edition und Forschung lange vernachlässigt. Bis 1990 waren nur Auszüge bekannt (Baechtold 1893; Preitz 1909); Helbling (1946) hatte sie als ›Puerilia‹ aus der Werkausgabe ausgeschlossen (SW 20, 172). Die erste vollständige Ausgabe (Rickels 1990) ist unzulänglich; DKV 7 (1996) bringt beträchtliche Fortschritte; einen vollständigen, zuverlässigen Text bietet aber erst die HKKA (2002/03).
