Zusammenfassung
Burkina Faso ist ein westafrikanischer Binnenstaat mit einer Grundfläche von 274.122 km². Das Land grenzt im Nordwesten an Mali, im Südwesten an die Côte d’Ivoire (Elfenbeinküste), im Süden an Ghana, Togo, Benin und im Osten an Niger. Es ist eine ehemalige Kolonie Frankreichs und wurde am 5.8.1960 unabhängig.
