Zusammenfassung
Nachdem Keller als Autor an die Öffentlichkeit getreten war, erhielt er im Verlaufe seines Lebens »zahlreiche Bitten um biographische und bibliographische Angaben von Jahrbuch-, Anthologie- und Lexikonherausgebern sowie von Literaturkritikern und -historikern « (15, 636). Dass es bei dieser Sachlage trotzdem nur zwei autobiographische Texte von Kellers Hand gibt, die zu Lebzeiten gedruckt wurden, mag auf den ersten Blick überraschen.
