Zusammenfassung
Ein klassisches, zentrales Problem der Ontologie ist die Frage danach, was fundamental ist und was hingegen nur derivativ existiert. Angewendet auf das Thema dieses Abschnitts fragt man, ob die Räumlichkeit und Zeitlichkeit des Seienden vom Sein von Raum und Zeit abhängt oder vielmehr umgekehrt das Sein von Raum und Zeit von der Räumlichkeit und Zeitlichkeit des Seienden. Abhängig von der Antwort auf diese Frage kommt man zu unterschiedlichen Auffassungen darüber, worin Räumlichkeit und Zeitlichkeit sowie Raum und Zeit bestehen, was ihre jeweilige Natur ist.
