Platon äußert sich in seinen Schriften vielfach zu Fragen, die wir unter dem Titel ›Moralphilosophie‹ subsumieren würden. Er selbst verfügt jedoch über keinen Begriff, mit dem er diese Äußerungen gegen andere philosophische Sachgebiete wie Ontologie, Epistemologie oder Sprachphilosophie abgrenzen könnte.
