Zusammenfassung
Wenn man Deutschland als Fluchtpunkt im literarischen Wechselspiel zur Zeit der europäischen Romantik benutzt, verwikkelt sich die Sachlage dadurch, daß die deutsche Literatur überhaupt als romantisch aufgefaßt wird (besonders in Frankreich, s. Musset, Nerval etc.). Fragen wir nach der Rezeption der deutschen Romantik in Frankreich, dann handelt es sich um die gesamte Literatur der Goethezeit, wobei Goethe und Schiller eine führende Rolle spielen, während die eigentlichen Romantiker meist nur als Begleiterscheinung in Betracht kommen.
