Zusammenfassung
Im Gegensatz zu Lateinamerika, Süd- und Osteuropa ist die Transitions- und Systemwechselforschung in Afrika nicht als zentraler methodischer und theoretischer Ansatz der jeweiligen area-Forschung etabliert. Ob wir es im subsaharischen Afrika mit defekten, nicht-konsolidierten oder gar keinen Demokratien zu tun haben, dürfte eine Frage sein, die zwar aus der Perspektive der vergleichenden Systemwechselforschung interessiert, in Afrika selbst aber von kaum jemand gestellt würde.
