Zusammenfassung
Dieser Beitrag hat zum Ziel, die Inhalte des Workshops „Visualisierung von entscheidungsrelevanten Daten“ kurz vorzustellen. Dieser Workshop konzentriert sich auf die Präsentation und Diskussion unterschiedlicher Strategien zur Visualisierung entscheidungsrelevanter Daten, wie man sie heute typischerweise in entschei-dungsunterstützenden Informationssystemen (Management Support Systems) findet. Aus dem Themenkomplex der Entscheidungsunterstützung werden drei wichtige Bereiche exemplarisch vorgestellt, um sie im Workshop eingehender zu behandeln: Visualisierung von (Kenn-) Zahlen mit Geschäftsgrafiken, Visualisierung von Daten mit Raumbezug durch GIS-Komponenten, sowie Metaphern zur Visualisierung von unternehmensexternen Informationen.
Abstract
This paper describes the content of the workshop „information visualization for decision support“. The workshop is focused on the presentation and discussion of a variety of strategies for information visualisation, as it can be found in todays Decision Support and Management Support Systems. From the diversity of information that can be visualised, the workshop takes three into account: visualisation of business graphics, visualisation of data with a spatial reference by GIS components and metaphors for the visualisation of external information.
