Abstract
There is a wealth of traditional classification systems that has not yet been fully exploited for coping with information floods in the modern enterprise. The roles of information providers and information users have shifted dramatically, therefore classification systems and their application environments need to be reconsidered. The introduction of classification systems requires that the development of new conventions in the use of information is supported.
