Abstract

From the spectral results obtained in flashtube produced plasmas, it has been concluded that plasma oscillations may have the dominant role on the conduction electron scattering. The conductivity of different strongly coupled plasmas in a wide range of plasma parameters is studied, from which the electron-ion collision frequency is calculated. An approximation formula is proposed: < vei > ≈ fp/nD which describes well all the measurements. A relation may allow the selection of the efficient oscillations.
