Critical Point of Lithium under Influence of Coulomb Interaction

  • Chapter
Physics of Nonideal Plasmas

Part of the book series: TEUBNER-TEXTE zur Physik ((TTZP,volume 26))

Abstract

A combination of the vapour pressure equation with equation of state data assuming only Coulomb interaction in the attractive term gives couples of critical data (pc, Tc) for the alkali metals which are in good agreement with experimental data for heavier species. For lithium, where experimental data are not available so far, the data estimated here are not in agreement with data recommended earlier.
