Zusammenfassung
Es ergab sich, dass die Vorbereitung dieses Vortrags in die Tage nach dem 11. September 2001 fiel. Für mich bedeutete das, dass meine Arbeit an diesem Thema tagelang unterbrochen war, denn es erging mir mit dieser Vorbereitung nicht anders als mit allen anderen Tätigkeiten in den Tagen nach dem elften September: Der durch die Medien so unmittelbar spürbare Terror drang in alles ein, störte und unterbrach jeden Gedankengang.
