Zusammenfassung

Verbindungen, welche die Strukturelemente enthalten, liegen im Bereich zwischen den Komplexen reiner σ-Donor-Liganden (ÜM-Alkyle) und der großen Klasse der σ-Donor/π-Akzeptor-Komplexe (L = CO, Isocyanid, Phosphan etc.). Zwar verfügen Alkenyl-, Alkinyl- und Arylreste über unbesetzte.π*-Orbitale, die im Prinzip in der Lage sein sollten, mit besetzten Metall(d)-Orbitalen in Wechselwirkung zu treten, jedoch scheint einer M→C π-Rückbindung hier nur geringe Bedeutung zuzukommen. Ein Hinweis auf eine solche wäre eine M-C-Bindungslänge, welche die Summe der Einfachbindungs-Kovalenzradien der beteiligten Atome unterschritte.
