Die Republik auf dem Weg zur Normalität?

Zusammenfassung

Seit nunmehr gut zehn Jahren hält in der Wahlforschung der Streit zwischen den Anhängern des Näherungsmodells (proximity model) und denen des Richtungsmodells (directional model) an. Es handelt sich um eine Debatte innerhalb des Paradigmas der rationalen Wahl. Die konkurrierenden Theorien geben unterschiedliche Antworten auf die gleiche Frage: Was bringt rationale Wähler dazu, eine Präferenz für eine bestimmte Partei zu entwickeln.
