Zusammenfassung
Die Vorgeschichte der “sanften Revolution” vom November 1989 erinnert zunächst an das mehr als zwei Jahrzehnte zurückliegende Aufbegehren der Tschechen und Slowaken, das im Prager Frühling von 1968 seinen Höhepunkt erreichte und im August des gleichen Jahres ein gewaltsames Ende erfuhr. (Kosta 1978, Kapitel III) Ein näherer Vergleich läßt jedoch deutliche Unterschiede erkennen, die auf die spezifischen Determinanten der Wende vom Ende der 80er Jahre hindeuten. (Vgl. Kosta 1993a, S. 307–309) Welches Bild zeigt die Gegenüberstellung der beiden für die historische Entwicklung des tschechoslowakischen Staates entscheidenden Perioden?
