Zunächst stellen wir in Abschnitt 6.1 grundlegende Aussagen zur Analysis parabolischer Anfangs-Randwertaufgaben bereit. Da insbesondere die Existenzfrage nicht ganz einfach ist, findet man derartige Aussagen selten in Büchern zur Numerik parabolischer Aufgaben.
