Abstract
Phase transitions in solids, in solid solutions are often accompanied by the development of elastic strains due to the formation and growth of the clusters of the new phase. These elastic strains quantitatively and qualitatively modify the kinetics of growth of single clusters and of ensembles of clusters, in particular, they modify the kinetics of Ostwald ripening.
