Verglichen mit der Situation in Großbritannien (1–4), den skandinavischen Ländern (5–7) und den Vereinigten Staaten (8) liegen für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland (9–12) nur spärliche Informationen auf repräsentativer Basis über das Ausmaß sozialschichtspezifischer Unterschiede in der selbst wahrgenommenen Morbidität und bei gesundheitsbezogenen Parametern vor.
