Zusammenfassung

Studien zu lebensverändernden Ereignissen beschränken sich zum überwiegenden Prozentsatz auf das mittlere und höhere Erwachsenenalter. Die untersuchten Endpunkte sind ein breites Spektrum akuter und chronischer körperlicher (Brown; Harris, 1989) sowie psychischer Erkrankungen (Coyne; Downey, 1991). Die Jugendphase ist dabei eher unterrepräsentiert: In einer Literaturübersicht zählt Johnson (1986: 11) für die vorangegangenen fünf Jahre unter mehr als 1000 Veröffentlichungen zu lebensverändernden Ereignissen nur 38, die sich auf Untersuchungen an Kindern und Jugendlichen beziehen.
