Kellerautomaten können zum Beispiel nicht solche einfachen Sprachen akzeptieren wie {anbncn | n ≥ 0 }, obwohl anschaulich offenbar effektiv entschieden werden kann, ob ein Wort diese Gestalt hat. Ein Kellerautomat mit zwei Kellern würde das Verlangte leisten.
