Dieser Beitrag ist ein weiterer Versuch, auf der Basis der Diskussion der Stärken und der Schwächen der politikwissenschaftlichen Integrationstheorien ein synoptisches Erklärungsmodell zu entwickeln, das der Komplexität des Integrationsprozesses Rechnung trägt und die einseitigen und verkürzten Hypothesen der vorhandenen traditionellen und neueren Ansätze überwindet.
