Zusammenfassung
Zur Erzielung der für die Bauelemente nötigen Form und Oberflächenbeschaffenheit muß das einkristalline Halbleitermaterial mechanisch und chemisch behandelt werden. Meist werden Scheiben mit einer Dicke zwischen 10 µm und 1 mm und einem Durchmesser zwischen 1 mm und 100 mm aus dem Einkristallmaterial benötigt.
