In this chapter, we delve more deeply into those aspects of the regularized solution of discretized inverse problems that are concerned with the required computational work« Let us begin by classifying the different classes of problems with respect to the amount of computation. From Chapter 4 we have learned that identification and control problems are regularized in a unified manner. Consequently, for our classification, we only have to consider the space dimensions m and n of the discretized inverse problem and intrinsic features of the operator A and of the domain D.
