Zusammenfassung

Kontrolltheoretische Ansätze haben sich zu einem wichtigen Forschungsbereich der Psychologie und Verhaltenswissenschaft entwickelt (Frey & Irle, 1993, S. 126; Wiswede, 1991, S. 92; Wong, 1992, S. 143). Dies liegt vor allem darin begründet, daß die psychologische Kontrollforschung eine hohe Anwendungsrelevanz besitzt, da sich die Wahrnehmung und Ausübung von Kontrolle in den unterschiedlichsten Lebensbereichen (z.B. Arbeit, Gesundheit) als wichtige Ursache fur das physische sowie psychische Wohlbefinden und Verhalten erwiesen hat (Bungard & Schultz-Gambard, 1990, S. 145; Osnabrügge, Stahlberg & Frey, 1993, S. 164). Dies betrifft insbesondere auch wirtschaftliches Handeln, da es hierbei häufig um kontrolliertes, geplantes und systematisches Verhalten geht. So müssen z.B. Konsumenten ihre Ausgaben unter Kontrolle haben, und Unternehmen müssen in der Lage sein, Versprechungen gegenüber ihren Kunden einzuhalten.
