A hole in a large mechanical component is usually produced by using a drilling machine. Drilling machines can be used for many types of operations such as,
(1) Drilling , (2) Reaming , (3) Boring , (4) Counterboring , (5) Countersinking , (6) Tapping , (7) Grinding , (8) Trepanning.
