Eine Clusteranalyse wird mit dem Ziel durchgeführt, sämtliche Cases derart in Gruppen (Cluster) einzuteilen, daß die resultierenden Gruppen im Hinblick auf bestimmte Merkmale in sich möglichst homogen und untereinander möglichst heterogen sind.
