Zusammenfassung

Dem Systematisierungsanliegen des OSI-Basisreferenzmodells entspricht es, wenn seit Mitte der achtziger Jahre intensiv im Rahmen mehrerer Arbeitsgruppen an einem durchgängigen Managementkonzept gearbeitet wird. Da diese Arbeiten später als viele wichtige Schichtenstandards begonnen wurden und auch heute noch nicht vollständig abgeschlossen sind, konnten die Rahmenvorstellungen und konkreten Festlegungen zum OSI-Management bisher in den Schichtenstandards kaum berücksichtigt werden. Es ist zu erwarten, daß dies einen Überarbeitungs- bzw. Ergänzungsvorgang im Verlaufe der neunziger Jahre nach sich ziehen wird.
