Im folgenden Kapitel wollen wir uns mit Relationen befassen, die sehr spezifische Zuordnungseigenschaften besitzen und unter dem Begriff der Abbildung bzw. der Funktionen seit Schulzeiten gut bekannt sind. Abbildungen und Funktionen spielen eine tragende Rolle in sämtlichen Anwendungen und Disziplinen, bei denen man sich mathematischer Beschreibungen und Methoden bedient.
