Der Zugang zu Integralen ∫ ba (x) dx im ℝ erfolgte über Flächeninhalte. Entsprechend kann der Zugang zu Integralen ∫ G f (x, y) d(x,y) im ℝ2 über Volumeninhalte erfolgen. Das Vorgehen ist analog. Wir geben die Definition für Integrale im ℝn und betrachten zur Veranschaulichung den Fall n = 2.
