Zusammenfassung

Im Sommer 1986 wurde von der Forschergruppe um Luc Montagnier am Pasteurinstitut in Paris die Entdekkung eines neuen Typs des AIDS-Erregers beschrieben, HIV-2 oder LAV-2 genannt (4). Dieses Virus stammte aus AIDS-Patienten, deren Heimat Guinea Bissau bzw. die Kapverdischen Inseln waren.
