Zusammenfassung

Im folgenden soll versucht werden, einen Überblick auf den ideengeschichtlichen Kontext der “Sozialen Aufrüstung des Dorfes” darzustellen. Dabei werden wir den Rahmen des Landes Hessen, das es ja vor 1945 in der heutigen Form noch nicht gab, verlassen müssen und uns auf die Entwicklungen in den Grenzen des Deutschen Reiches und abschließend auf die der alten Bundesrepublik beziehen. Ungeachtet der Tatsache, daß in späteren Jahren einige Anregungen aus anderen europäischen Ländern sowie den USA kamen, finden sich die wesentlichen Vorläufer bzw. Vorbilder der “Sozialen Aufrüstung” in Deutschland.
