Zusammenfassung
IFRS bedeutet International Financial Reporting Standards. Diese Standards werden aufgestellt vom IASB (International Accounting Standard Board). Gemäß Entscheidung des Europäischen Parlamentes vom Juli 2002 sind die IFRS für alle börsennotierten Unternehmen ab 2005 vorgeschrieben mit der Möglichkeit einer Übergangsfrist bis 2007. Betroffen sind Konzernabschliisse. Dabei besteht das Wahlrecht, auch US-GAAP anzuwenden (US-GAAP = United Staates Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
