Abstract
Latin America is an active player in the rapidly expanding world of international business and globalization. The region’s economies provide many investment opportunities for foreign investors — as evidenced by international trade agreements such as NAFTA1 and EUMFTA2. There are challenges for the international organization in such forms as multinational subsidiaries, international joint ventures, international strategic alliances, franchises and labor-intensive industries known as maquiladoras.
