Abstract
Currently, the drug industry is probably the largest and most profitable sector of international crime. The liberalization of cross-border-activities creates new opportunities for all kinds of illegal activities and actors, too. Law-enforcement agencies try to react with the creation of a whole set of regional, transnational and international cooperations. Acting at the execution-end of security-politics such co-operations can easily be overcharged. What kind of forms to combat organized crime could be successful in the future?
